Him

Sometimes I miss him More than I can stand Sometimes the only thing I want Is just to hold his hand Sometimes I'm so angry at him That I just want to yell Sometimes I'm so upset I find He's the only one to tell I can want to scream and shout Call him a name or two All while wanting to be held A paradox, it's true How can such polar emotions Inhabitate one small space How can my heart start racing off With a single glance of his face It doesn't make sense at all That he can make me laugh and cry Or that someone apart from me Can make me audibly sigh He's not perfect, far from it in fact He's got a temper that flares But when I look at the other women around I'm glad he is mine and not their's He's stuck around through the thick and the thin which sound cliche, I know But those no one around I'd rather than him To be with me wherever I go It may sound cookie-cutter and dumb But today, in my heart, I can say that he is the one.
