Him and Her

Once upon a time

There was a she

She was a broken soul

For she was a queen with no king

A mother to all

And yet a mother of none

She possessed everything she had ever wanted

But nothing she needed

Once upon a time

There was a he

A little child of eight years

Content with life's constant dismay

And yet, a great void filled his heart

For he was without guidance

From a mother or father

His only consolation was from a straw-built figure

Which had lost its appearance over the years

This was until he met her

Who was more beautiful than he could've ever imagined

She insisted on showing him her castle

Then proceeded to let him stay with her

Once upon a time

She became a mother

And he, a son
