Him; I; Her
I look down.
I see emptiness.
I feel cold.
I feel tears.
I feel depression.
I fly into darkness.
I am blind.
I am tumbling; down, down I go, never to hit ground.
I go through the ground.
I unfold my wings and soar again; skimming below the surface.
I taste dry earth.
I look for a stream.
I find none.
I see a puddle, but there is no liquid.
I fly and soar, just below the crust.
I am torn out of the ground and through darkness.
I am falling up.
I see light.
I test chaos for current.
I bob and thrash towards the light.
I land in a tree.
I see life.
I know chaos is right behind me.
I sit.
I wait.
I hear chaos stop; chaos is tired.
I wonder.
I curl.
I sleep.
I wake.
I uncurl.
I hop.
I soar.
I hear her behind me, waking.
I know she must sleep.
I know she must wake.
I know everything.
I know nothing.
I fly.
I glide.
I love it.
I hate it.
I have everything.
I have nothing.
I hear her destruction behind me.
I hear their shock and fear.
I hear chaos.
I proceed.
I don’t care; not anymore.
I was once called happiness.
I was once called joy.
I was once called prosperity.
I was once called peace.
I was once; now I am.
I am life.
I am death.
I am earth.
I am sky.
I am water.
I am fire.
I still hear her behind me.
I see her devouring the life I fly over.
I will not let her overcame me; not again.
I must not.
I must not.
I am life; she eats life.
I am death; so is she.
I will fly faster.
I must.
I must.
I am earth; she rips me up.
I am sky; she consumes me.
I am water; she uses me.
I am fire; she strengthens me.
I must fly harder.
I fly upward; she follows.
I fly faster; so does she.
I fly harder; she puffs with effort.
I rise.
I know what I must do.
I care again.
I fly above life; she follows.
I fly with death; so does she.
I leave behind earth; she cares not.
I leave behind sky; she chokes, she shudders, but she follows.
I rise above natural water; she condenses.
I rise above ability for fire; she does not notice.
I soar through the coldest of cold, we shudder.
I glide through the everlasting dance.
I float through the nothingness after the dance.
I shiver.
I wonder.
I curl.
I think: what can I do?
I know what I can do.
I know what I will do.
I know what I must do.
I uncurl.
I check: she is still following.
I jet; so does she.
I have renewed peace.
I have renewed strength.
I soar to my Savior.
I glide to my Creator.
I float to my King.
I fly to my Father.
I flop ungracefully into the arms of Him.
I give Him my worries.
I give Him my problems.
I give Him my sadness.
I give Him my depression.
I give Him this, and He gives me peace.
I feel Him lift me.
I am on His shoulder.
I watch as she comes to Him.
I watch as He holds her.
I watch as He changes her.
I see destruction no more.
I see chaos no more.
I sit as she falls back the way we came.
I know she is changed; she is now life.
I hear Him give me my instructions.
I take off after her.
I guide her home.
I look around.
I find her sister.
I start again.
