Himalayan Whispers
Birds wailed against the auburn, yet golden, nuances
In the vast azure above.
Not forlorn, but a beautiful solitude;
One which accompanied the white hues
Of the snowy giants before me.
Rigorous efforts manoeuvred me to this height,
A height I hadn’t dreamt of prior.
Only reminiscences from a hazy dream—
A dream of dreams.
My apparent tightly-closed eyes unsealed.
A crystal dream, one not of dreams anymore,
But of ambitions, purpose.
Sitting atop those frigid rocks,
Feeling absolutely nothing, yet everything,
Consummated me.
Chills rushed up my spine
From tinges of green, white and blue that engulfed my being.
Recognition overwhelmed,
One of the complexity and simplicity of life;
The perception that complexity arrives from those rigorous efforts,
And guides one to a path and final destination of serenity,
The exact serenity I found atop those white-smothered beasts.
I wasn’t the same youth after my experience.
I found tranquility. I found struggle. I found endeavors.
Soaring to the top is tempestuous, yet the arrival cannot be softer.
