Hindsight
Dear My Sad Middle School Self,
You will experience so much hardship in years to come.
Events that crush your soul and make you struggle to get back up.
People who take your good nature for granted and permanently stunt your mental health.
Personal conflicts that make you terrified to speak to anybody.
Along with events that make you feel sick to your stomach every time you relive them.
But with the bad times also come the good.
You’ll meet people who show you your true inner worth.
You’ll soon find how to open yourself up to others again.
You’ll learn that your feelings are completely normal, and you’ll find a community that supports you.
You’ll learn how to forgive again.
So while I know that it may seem tough to wake up and trudge through life day by day
I know that you don’t believe in “It will get better.”
It truly does. Keep moving forward.
Signed,
Your Happier Future Self
