A Hipster Love
My heart beats faster when I see you
At an obscure tempo you’ve probably never heard of.
Your face mesmerizes me
Watching from behind my non-prescription glasses.
You stole my heart before it was cool.
In it, you carved your name in Helvetica.
Interaction is too mainstream.
I admire you ironically from afar
Because then you can’t hurt me.
