Hipster Writer

I write in a journal

I write notes by hand

I write handwritten letters

I even use crayons

to decorate hand-written letters with care

for there's something so sentimentally special there

I write thank you cards

I write "I love you"

to those who are close to me who I care for too

I write with my heart

I think with my mind

I imagine the the person in that state of time

of who they are now, of who they will be,

of who they were in the past and who they could aspire to be

there's so much more meaning in a hand-written card

that touches our souls most people don't know

so though computers may compete with my likes

I will continue to write by hand my feelings and insights

for through small ways like this I can change the world

by brightening other's with kind hand-written notes
