His Daughter
If I were to say,
“I was born unneeded.”
He would say,
“I wanted you to be born.”
From birth, with His own hands, He has raised me.
As I grew, His voice teaches me.
As I walked, his hand held me tightly.
Pulling my hand and helping me to stand,
I have learned to trust Him.
In hope, my future He created.
In faith, my life He paved.
I have asked,
Why forgive the unforgivable?
Why love the undesirable?
The Lord has answered,
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
