His eyes


as i stand there looking into his eyes
my memories they flash in front of me 
i relive some of my favorite moments
i see my lowest points
my eyes fill with tears remembering what i was
a child with a heart that went cold
a teenager in love, with a rebellious side
that is all i ever got to be 
chances i never took
ones never offered, my ticket outta there
it never came
but as i look into his eyes 
i see that for a second i have a ticket out
one that will never bring me back
i ponder on if i should stay
if maybe i can change what has been done
but as i look into his eyes,
i realize my choice is already been made
for the faces i grew up with, the are all but things that use to be
i am a person that they knew, no longer one they know
as i lay here on my silk bed looking into his eyes,
everything stops, and as do i
