His Identity

He says “wear less makeup”.
It makes you more attractive.
He says “don’t act grown” adolescence is temporary.
He was suppose to my root of support
He was suppose to be my biggest fan
He was suppose to support my decisions
Instead I’m left fragmented
The once beautiful, ripe, rose became dull
The rose slowly became colorless
Due to lack of care
Lack of care led to lack of will
The will to live, and flourish.
It slowly perishes within.
These thought dance on the tip of my mind.
But this is okay because it’s what he says.
