His Mercy, His Grace

How could this happen

I thought we were through

my inner being is mortified

We're waiting for you

My demons coo

they threaten to pull me

into the crashing waves

my mouth is just above the water

as I search to find

a holled cave to call my own

a safe haven, a place to stay

My Lord and Savior

shows me a glimmer of light

my stomach turns with excitement

my hopeful heart taking flight

into a much more promising night

My Child, He says

granting me the reassurance I need

I cry from contentment

His mercy, His grace, I cannot perceive

but I've given God my trust allowing

Him to take my lifes lead.
