His Pocket

Where has my smile gone?  He placed it in his pocket and forgot he's got it.  As it lays in a pair of dirty shorts  on his bedroom floor.  Where is my smile? Sitting lost in his pocket and he's forgotten he's got it.  Getting stepped on and kicked, wrinkled and pricked. Where has my smile gone? He's taken it  I wonder if he knows he's misshapened it?  He's got my smile held hostage and I'm afraid he's truly forgotten he's got it.  It's laying in his pocket bruised, beaten and forgotten. Please tell me he's only just forgotten.
