His Side

I tried it all
I did my best
You left me to crawl
As I laid to rest
What did I do wrong?
All I did was tag along
To you and your baggage
Leaving my heart severely damaged
I thought you wanted someone modest
With whom you can sit and be right down honest
You said you were tired of the tricks
And that you were ready for a total eclipse
Now you throw me away
As if all I did was make way
For the next guy to come and fill my shoes
But later realizing it's the same guy you overuse
I ain't in love, but I ain't a fling
Show me some respect
So you can get the same thing
Remember they're exes for a reason
No one likes a girl that can't move on to the next season
The past is the past
It's a vicious cycle
So get over it
Or soon you'll get recycled
You had your chance
Me or your old romance
Don't worry, this won't be my last dance
There'll be another girl I'll give my glance
