History aint gone

I was born into a world of segregation

Yeah think about it

I was born 1998, yep 1998

Segregation ended in 1964, so that’s what I read, that’s what they all told me

WHY doesn’t my life matter?

I want to be all I can be

But, I’m hated by the segregation that ended in 1964

But, but, I have a dream, I have a dream, I Have a dream

But, I’m still hated by 1964

I was told that my life does matter, but you must work hard for it to matter

Work hard for my life to matter

Why can’t it matter just because it ended 1964?
