(poems goThere once was a time when freedom and equal rights were asked to ring
Then along came two men by the names of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King…
They were the voices for the voiceless and the fighters for the weak…
The fight grew bigger and bigger in each waking moment…
Scary, powerful, dangerous, tearful, misery all came with this journey…
I would have to say that in the long run it was worth it to win the war…
We have come such a long way since the beginning…
Still not all the way but so much better than before…
Let’s just all remember and grateful for all that we have and give thanks…
For we have love, liberty, freedom, and money in the banks…
