History Digger

So many people see the world in black and white,

I see the world as a complex web of color.

Every tug and pull is a new chapter we write,

An unfolding tale of how life forms interact with eachother.

Books tell us the political myths of "true" history,

But we all know it all depends on your point of view.

If we could look at bare facts, unravel their mystery,

Perhaps we could know what people once knew.

If I were an archaeologist out in the field,

my life would be forever changed.

I would see the world that time has concealed

and my perspective would be rearranged.

I would find out secrets long forgot

and make the world remember truth.

I think there is much I could be taught

by being an archaeological sleuth.
