History Repeated
A one way journey do I travel.
To people, mysteries I do unravel.
Where I may go, no one knows.
Just pushed in the direction the wind blows.
Miles upon miles stretches the distance,
But I'm kept in your hands for the instance.
Now read on to complete the adventure,
And, maybe, a new path you may venture?
My journey here was hard, indeed!
But I have come for an enlightenment plead.
What bothers me the most is not ignorance or shame,
Instead, the selfish quality of not giving self blame.
When something goes wrong, it is from a flaw,
Because some skipped to walk before crawl.
This is lack of interest for the past;
The method for the best dwindles and will not last.
The ways of old are nearly gone.
A new future awaits, but what will belong?
The helpless receive less than is due,
While those with help, never say,"How do you do?"
Listen closely as I say,
"Would you rather belong than play?"
Tod do both would change a culture
Or force yourself to feed the vulture.
