History Repeats

Still I rise from what my ancestors had been through

Scars on my back from the wounds that i still feel bleed

The strain of inhaling as the rope pulls tight against my neck

Dangling in my own urine

How can you justify my well being in 2015?

If you say that we're free but still get harassed by the police or the sales clerk that Boss is hawking her like a prey to make sure that an self suffcient colored individual person like myself pays for everything in his/her hands

No, I don't think you realize what the World is coming to

We cannot love one another because the one you loved had hurt you or the white man that raped your grandmother has turned into your uncle who comes in at night and touhes you

And people wonder why its hard to forgive

As you make your next pay for your Ex pain

I'm telling you the World is not right

Went to getting judge for the color of your skin to being judge by the money you make or if your decent enough to date

Being Judge by whether you like male or female as you dangle by the words that you hang from

Being a minority is war

Continuing to be judge by the color of your skin is a battle that we cannot win

Scrubbing your skin and stating it's a stain but prays one day it will go away

But together we fight and I earned one right to be apart of my own society

To continue to fight the fight that inspirational people have died to see me do

I believe that everyone should love one another and because my status and your status is not the same; should encourage each other

One positive person embracing race and sexuality can build a better society

Love on Each Other
