Hoetry
I’m not a rapper but I know how to rhyme
Sick beats, crazy notes, all done in syncopated time
But these words I have to say need no music or sound
It’s about time to break the silence and say in out loud
My body is numb and my heart aches to think
Something I did for pleasure, out here being a freak
Caused me to live with something I will never overcome
No idea where I got it, too many dicks to just pick one
My modus operandi was having sex with lots of men
Last time I counted, I reached a hundred and ten
White, black, red, yellow, brown, didn’t matter to me
It was easy for anyone to get up in this pussy
See I was a hoe, the kind that didn’t get paid
I was willing to lay down with anyone who wanted to get laid
Fucking for sport, praying to somehow forget
How much I hated being alone, even if it led to regrets
I didn’t want to use protection, I liked to feel that skin
Anyone who wanted a piece of me could freely jump right in
Sometimes I cried during those unmemorable acts
Only time I felt truly comfortable, I was on my back
Giving up those skins, a piece of ass, a bit of trim
Sucking dicks, taking it up the ass, I’d do anything for “him”
He could be anyone, it didn’t matter too much to me
In those tragic physical moments, someone wanted me
So here I sit today, with a permanent condition
Not some virus I contracted, but the sin of omission
I forgot to love my self-enough to take care of my heart
But now I’m turning the page, I have a fresh new start
Loving me is no longer an option but a must
I’m no longer looking at myself with hatred and disgust.
I am a woman who has something to give to the world
I can no longer hide behind that broken, abused little girl
I need to be me now, not trying to be anyone’s wife
The hoe I used to be has now taken back her own life.
