Hold My Breath

Everytime you come around you make me hold my breath as I wait for my nerves to settle,

As I set here working up the courage to find the words to say,

You have my heart racing with every glance my way,

As I go to say my first words to you I feel my mouth get dry as I stutter the words out "Hi how are you out?"

I was surprised to see you smile, and that made my heart go wild,

That's when you replied back "I'm good. I was just wondering when you were going to say hi."

That was the very moment I knew I would fall for you harder than I ever fell before,

The way you make my heart linger with every word, you draw me in even further,

The further in I go, the more I  begin to let go of the nerves holding me back,

As I begin to relax just like that you're gone without a word,

Making the unanswered silence between us seem more like a curse,

The longer more words between us goes unspoken,

The more my heart feels broken,

Then you finally speak after days of  waiting, what really feels more like weeks,

Makes my heart go weak, as you know I wear my heart on a sleeve and when you disappear it feels like it's dangling by a string,

Do you know what you mean to me?

You're my everything and so much more.
