Hold in the Tears

Its the big moment and I don’t know if I can do it but I’ll pull myself back up and try to hold in the tears. I give him one last hug and kiss and tell him i love him and now he’s on his way. I ask him not to leave but there’s nothing I can do he turns around and says I’ll be back. He hears me saying daddy I love you please don’t go. He says I’m sorry but I have to go. Now tears are coming down the side of my cheek he says don’t cry I say I can’t help it I’ll miss you so much and I want you to know that I’ll keep you in my heart forever. I I know you will but please keep this necklace so you can remember by. I know he’ll remember me but I don’t know if he’ll come back.
