Holding onto Happiness

Happiness surrounds you and caresses the heart with warm fingers.

It gives us the courage to fight the black, crooked claws of saddness.

It allows us to swim to the top of the crystal, clear water,

away from the unkown and the danger.

It defends us from the darkness and lifts us towards the sky.

To be happy is simple.

Just think of a memory or living thing,

where you felt the warmth spread through your soul.

Feel the smile brighten your eyes,

hold onto it and never let it go.
