Holding onto the Monster

Screaming.

Losing.

Gone.

The grasp for air escapes

as tears roll down your face.

No one can help.

It’s beyond them.

You tried freeing

but he grabbed your entire being.

Crying, screaming, nothing new to you.

Thank God they don't have to understand, too.

If they did,

they would suffer

because they are no more tougher

than you.

You try to be free,

but it won’t work.

"I love you”

Yeah, sure you do, jerk.

But you're not the one drowning in sorrow

because you don't know what tomorrow

will bring.

All you know is what you hear.

What you feel.

Screaming.

Losing.

Hoping.
