Holes

The more holes in the ground

The more holes in my heart

A hole that won't heal

A hole I can feel

You took a piece of my soul

I can't take it anymore

I try to numb the pain

But it always comes back the same

The same burn, the same ache, it's always there

Haunting me, Taunting me because I know you're not there

You are not there when I fall

Or even when I call

You've stabbed a hole in my heart

And no one can ever make it right
