Hollow

sometimes you wake up and you're hollow

your whole body feels like a hole waiting to be

filled with something

but nothing satisfies

so you lie back and stare at the ceiling

eyes lazily tracing the patterns and cracks

seeing but not really seeing

like you're there but not really there

mind absent, exploring some far off imaginary place

where you are not you and your life is not your life and

you're not lying on your bed feeling

hollow
