Hollow Thoughts

Here I walk, alone,

Down a cobblestone road.

Here I walk, alone,

Left with my hollow thoughts.

Here I walk, alone,

Wondering what to do.

I can't go back home,

Not after what happened.

I saw the monster,

With my own two blue eyes.

It overtook them,

And brought me to my knees.

It slashed and it smashed,

And blood pooled around me.

Broken glass rained down,

And my eyes were shut tight.

But it was not mine;

The glass was from mirrors.

The creature was me,

And I had no control.

My friends were not spared;

I saw myself hurt them.

What happened to me?

There was nothing but grief.

Here I walk, alone,

Trapped inside with no soul.

Though, I will regret.

And I cannot forget.

Here I walk, alone,

Down a cobblestone road.

Here I walk, alone,

Left with my hollow thoughts.
