Holly

The scent of

the juice of

apples on her breath

mixes (by 10pm) with the café cigarettes &

coffee in her hair

And she told us that when she dreams, she goes to every country on Earth,

to every planet known in our galaxy,

to Plum Village, to Champagne Mountain

Most call her crazy

But I think she's Holly,

a girl with lust and whimsy

She manages to be as beautiful &

peaceful when she is awake as she does when she is asleep

Which is how I suppose she looks in her dreams

When she goes to the places she goes

And I know that , as I sleep beside her,

I'll go to those places too.
