Holocaust Live Inside Me

I am not a witness but I can break it down for you to understand. I am not a witness but I know the United States did nothing to help. I am not a witness but I know millions were killed. I am not a witness but I know it's hard to believe this went on. I am not a witness but let me describe this tragedy. If you were able to look inside me and take a long stroll up the spine of my back which I consider the railroad tracks to the camp where the majority was killed. If you take a right into my heart, that's where they were told their going to take a shower and didn't know they were walking into their deaths. If you make a circle around and enter my lungs, that's where the poisons started taking over their bodies and killed them. If you take it down to my feet, that's where many people stood for hours to be counted every single day. If you take the veins into my hands that's where they're in pain because all the work they do to try and stay alive just to make it seem they're worth something. If you take that same vein into the pit of my brain that's where I hold all the pictures I saw the videos I watched and the personal information I gathered from being in the Holocaust class in the spring. If you turn around and do a back flip into the pit of my stomach you will enter the feelings of grief and all the emotions that I experienced during this class. If you want to press pause, reverse and then fast forward and start all over again you will be entering what I call the gates of anger, sadness, and disbelief.
