Holy Swords
The greatest treachery comes from the
coldest depths
There’s no sanctuary in the waters
you tread
No air beneath you to support
your wings
Everything you know and are is
gone with the wind
Your dark and wicked customs become
your law
There’s nothing you can do about it
at all
And suddenly your head’s not
on your neck
Your heart’s not underneath
your lungs
Right when you thought you won, the battle
has just begun
In your future you’re destined to slay a sinful beast
so prepare your holy swords
And don’t be scared to the very least
for this upcoming war
The greatest honour comes from facing the
real music deliberately
Focusing on the subtle rhythms and not the
obvious melody
Whatever the price of the burden may be
not walking away
You know it’s a debt you’ll
have to pay
Maybe the waves will prove to
hold the truth
You have no one to
believe in
Maybe the cool water of the ocean
blue
Will cleanse your soul as it wets
your skin
Send your army of ships and men away
for now
The one you’ll have to conquer
alone
Gather all your bows and arrows and guns and spears
and knives
Train your head, for this will be fought with
the mind
In your future you’re destined to slay a sinful beast
so prepare your holy swords
And don’t be scared to the very least
for this upcoming war
You feel it through your hands as you attempt to get to your feet
Don’t let this steady ground crumble from beneath you
All you know is now gone, perfect chance for a clean slate
It’s the dark before the dawn, this was you without a teammate
Now all that’s left is what you chose to drag along
You’re closer to the end than the start now
Your heart will mend, you’ll learn there is no wrong
Only unfortunate events that resulted in this crown
All you have to do is wait, just wait. Wait.
I know because in my past I slayed a sinful beast
Fought with my holiest sword
I was scared to say the least
But the absence of panic helped me win this war
