Once called home Is now alone Suffered through tragedy People left in agony Now unrecognizable Feeings undefinable Disaster emerged Leaving everything scourged Only hope remains On the hilly plains It keeps us alive As the sun will thrive It keeps us going While the winds are blowing It lets us smile In the presence of defile But most important It keeps us defiant And lets us remember home Where we are never truly alone
