Home
My mind and body are my temple, my world, my home
At the end of the day I am the only one truly there for myself because I'm the only on who truly knows myself
So when I choose to let someone come in my life and love me I can be picky
Not because I'm stubborn
But because they must know my mind before body
Not the other way around
They must be able to be honest with me even if it will hurt me because once I loose your trust there's no point anymore
I won't be able to confine in you as I once did
And I will slowly drift away
When in a relationship I expect you to push me into great things not drag me into the darkest parts of the world
I want to be able to talk for hours on end but still have moments of beautiful silence
Not an ounce of awkwardness to be found
I want to be able to let you into my temple, and not have to worry that you'll judge the parts of me I do not speak of
Or how pieces of my heart have been shattered and dropped into an abyss, never to be seen again
Not just by lovers but by friends as well
Once you've managed to handle my mind, my body will be next
But before you see it, you must already see me as beautiful or I won't, and my body will be covered as if I were a prude
My body is my home it's the one thing that I will never leave for as long as I live
So treat it as if it were your own and I'll do the same to you
Our minds don't need be exactly the same but they do need to be able to agree on the simple things and understand each other on the difficulties.
So that one day our homes can collide into one
