HOME

Dear home,

   What is home when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere; there are people around you, but you feel

you are all alone. I’ll run as fast as I can so that I can get to where I need to be not realizing I’m just going

in circles. “STOP” I yell with tears falling from my eyes; lord I’ve been fighting to get through to make it

out. My heart what’s wrong with it, my soul have you seen it, my voice have you heard it. Sit still and

wait you think but time goes on and now you’re lost. “I’m just trying to get home” you scream as you fall

to your knees. My pain can you feel it, my hands are they bruised, my screams are they loud. Climbing

high mountains crossing tough waters just to get home. Fell, cried, bleed, and scream just to get home;

but I’m still going in circles. “Lord I will make it because I believe in me, I will fight to see my home

because I am no longer afraid to fail, I know that my bones are weak but just like you I have the strength

to stand and continue to move.” Then you notice the path was leading you home and all of this is a test.

Many people take what they have for granted until it stripped away like a broken piece of rubber. It is

not about the pain, the bruises, the fall, the going in circles it’s about not giving up when things get

tough or when things are gone. It’s about knowing how strong you are because God gives the toughest

battles to the strongest people and  the things you get are never given and you don’t have to take it but

you will earn it and you’ll know when you have because now you’re at a place called home. It is never

somewhere you want to be or go it is where you need to be. So, go ahead and call it HOME

                                 Sincerely, Daniah Carter
