Dear Earth,

You are beautiful.

Your wind refreshing,

Your seas uplifting.

You grow as a monument

To showcase strength and endurance.

I am in awe by your spectacular talent

Of not letting others bring you down.

I cry with you as I shine with you.

I’m honored by you.

Year by year.

Decade by decade.

This hills continue to roll on

As the waves hit the rocks.

But now, there’s an opponent.

Exhausts choke your air.

Society depletes you of what makes you unique.

We tear you down when all you want to do is

Grow.
