Have you ever read a poem
That twisted and twined
So deep you felt the words caress your spine
A poem whose words cut into your soul
So much that you found yourself at home
In the words that you made you feel not so alone.
Have you ever read a poem
Where the words wrapped its arms around you tight
Reminding you, this is not just your fight
I have read a poem
Where the words gave me comfort and ease
When I did not feel my mind was at peace
During a time when my racing thoughts would not cease
When all I needed was a place to call home
I found this in a poem.
