Home
A house and a home are not the same thing.
A house is four walls accompanied by a few selections of furniture, childhood pictures and a bed. But that does not make a home. A home can be a “tree house” or a castle. Lined with beutiful toys and trinkets it's basically, a getaway from annoying childhood responsibilities. A home can be with a wonderful friend, laughing away any problems you may face, bonding with family members in extravagent faraway places, meeting strangers at school or a small coffee shop. Plain walls and boring furniture do not dictate what classifies a home. A home can be anywhere or anyone. It’s the bubbling feeling in the pit of the stomach that determines if it is a house or a home. For the longest time, I thought that a horrible fire had taken away my one and only home, and thereafter I was left with just a house and a few piles of ash.. I could not have been more wrong. That feeling of happiness and warmth never goes away with the right environment and people. A house is something people come back to every night, while the feeling of a home will always be with you. To the people that helped me realize this, I give my heart to you. A painful year can now be looked upon with gratitude and thankfullness. My friends and family are my home, and that will never change.
