There is a girl, afraid of her own home

Abused and accused,

She’s ready to get away from it all

She’s a victim, living in the room next to them

Abused and accused,

Jittery as she puts her things in the suitcase beside her

She’s a victim, living in the room next to them

Tears spring to her eyes when thinking of repressed memories.

Jittery as she puts her things in the suitcase beside her

Feeling paranoid that they’ll see her

Tears spring to her eyes when thinking of repressed memories

Take one last look and slip away

Feeling paranoid that they’ll see her

Down the stairs and over the bottles

Take one last look and slip away

Into the dawn.

Down the stairs and over the bottles,

She’s ready to get away from it all

Into the dawn.

There is a girl, afraid of her own home.
