Home Away From Home
The Books are packed
The last, most important Memories
Memories of Home
The suitcase bumps across the gravel,
Plops in the trunk and speeds away
Away to, a home away from Home
Children dream of this house,
Life seems so perfect there
But will it still seem that way?
Will life actually be better?
Is this really worth leaving them?
No one quite knows
Only Time will tell
Meanwhile Time sits and waits
Sipping his tea gingerly
Holding an entire future in the palm of his hand
Goodbye,
Tell them I say Goodbye
For "Goodbye" doesn't seem to be in my books
Hello, Good Evening, How do you do
But no Goodbyes
Please, no goodbyes
and though I feel some regret
Hope will always overpower nostalgia
It's not the end after all
It's merely a new beginning
