Home is Family
I lived somewhere that I called home
My friends were there, my culture was there
I never felt alone.
We moved away,
it happened so quickly
Tears came, everyday
I felt like a baby.
Summer came, so we went to see family.
Everyone was so happy to see everybody.
We laughed, we sang, we cried, we screamed.
Then I realized, my best times are with my family.
Time came to say goodbye.
All that time, had just flown by.
I have to be honest,
it was the hardest moment of my life.
I was the one, who cried the longest
I wished at this moment, I wasn't alive.
But looking at the positive,
I had so much fun,
I saw family that hadn't seen me since very young.
This trip made me realize many important things.
Love, compassion, kindness and more
but the one that stuck out the most
is one that no one should ever ignore.
Home isn't a building,
home isn't a town.
Home is family
because they'll always be around.
