Home (a poem of my Mother)

Your smile lights up my life.

Whenever I see your face I feel joy.

In your arms I feel safe.

Talking with you I feel content.

With your words of encouragement I can conquer the world.

With your thumbs up I feel strengthened.

When you kiss my forehead I feel loved.

When you hold me close I feel home.

Wherever we go, if you are there, I am home.

I will always find my way back to you, home.

My strength, joy, wisdom, and empowerment, my home.

Your kind words and endless love, home.

Compassion, beauty, happiness, with you I am home.
