Home Is Where My Family Is

The first time I moved I was three,

I don't remember much,

Not how it looked or felt.

Again when I was six, eight, twelve, and fourteen.

I finally felt the despair in having no where to call home,

But not alone,

Never alone.

Five moves and three continents later

Only a few friends kept in touch

And fewer were ever seen again,

But still never alone.

My last move was to college,

And the first time i felt alone,

Because finally I realized...

Home is where my family is.
