The home of the wild

Way up high in the canopy trees

Swaying in a hammock in the cool jungle breeze

The moon is high in the sky

I look at the stars and wonder what it's like to fly

I hear monkeys chattering and birds singing

No horns honking or bells ringing

I see fireflies dancing in the air

Tree frogs hopping around everywhere

The jungle is alive, the jungle is awake

It doesn't take a vacation, it doesn't take a break

As for me I couldn't call any other place home

For in the jungle you are never alone

There are monkeys that swing

And toucans who sing

There are lizards that hide in plants

And beautiful bugs who bounce and dance

There are tree frogs that climb and hop

There is a party in the jungle that never stops

But, it's beautiful too

Plants so green and a sky so blue

But, I don't know if you've been hearing

The jungle's disappearing

The plants and the trees

The birds and the monkeys

There's villain about

Taking the jungle out

Taking our trees

As much as they please

Stealing the homes of these innocent critters

Scaring them, giving them the jitters

And who is this bad guy, this evil mastermind

It's mankind

Now as I stare at the sky in deep sorrow

I go to sleep wondering if my home... will be here tommorow
