Homeless
The sun
Only as light
As people make it
Red eyes
And blackened nose
Scavenging for forgotten scraps
No where
To sleep forever
Moves like the wind
Never forget
Who denied us
Left us for dead
I’ll eat
And won’t stop
I’m sure you understand
What’s mine
You stay away
Or you’ll regret it
That body
That decaying body’s
Flesh is still ripe
Don’t understand
What has happened
Been rotting out here
My skin
Tickles and itches
It tends to flake
It burns
The son’s light
I can’t bear it
The darkness
Of the night
Calls me from bed
I’ll watch
And I’ll wait
My opportunity to strike
One live
Is a luxury
Especially when they squirm
Red eyes
Will be watching
Your every single move
Don’t turn
Your fleshy back
Or we’ll get you
