Homeostasis

You start off as a little tiny zygote

Your heart starts beating and your brain starts to grow

You are born out of comfort into the bright lights

You learn to eat and you learn to sleep

You learn to read faces and to make them back

You learn to sit up and you learn to crawl

You are soon a fully functioning toddler

You started off as one cell and now you are millions

Your cells work together to help you function and grow

Your body intracts and reacts at lightning speed

You are exposed to an infection

Your white blood cells immediately attack

You are losing the fight

You strike a fever

Your body pushes to get back to normal

You begin to perspire to cool your body down

Your white blood cells take control over the infection

Your temperature dips down low

Your blood vessels dilate to warm you back up

You eventually get back to

Homeostasis
