Homerun

Homerun Up to the plate The bat in the dirt 1, 2. Arms up, Feet out, One practice swing. The pitcher and catcher Exchange a look, One nod. The ball curves swiftly through the air, Flying faster and faster. Finally, The bat and ball meet Like two cars crashing, And the ball is sent into reverse, Gone. Homerun.
