Homesick

When I’m homesick I go on google maps. But this time I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. See I know my address and they say home is where the heart is, But the heartbeat here doesn’t sound familiar. This heartbeat sounds broken and off beat, not like mine. It used to sound like my favorite song, knowing exactly what line would come next Knowing all of the steps, but now It sounds foreign to me, like my future daughter’s cry, But I can’t seem to find the pacifier or the reason why But I know I’m looking in the right place. See I’ve put in my address three times, checked the zip code and it’s still 11238, But all I seem to find is concrete cracks reflecting this heartbreak. But I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Your heart sounds like this, but all I hear is that. And I feel like I’m at Burger King ordering a Big Mac And you are untouchable right? Cuz Macs don’t get viruses, but how come your smile feels like a Republicans biases? Maybe we’re outdated, expired or done? But I have your longitudes and latitudes imprinted on my thumb So the fact that your heartbeat is going numb Makes no sense to me. See I’ve put in my address three times, checked the zip code and it’s still 11238, But all I seem to find is concrete cracks reflecting this heartbreak.
