Homophobia

Homophobia,

Why does it exist?

For us it's like getting knocked in the teeth with a fist,

Over and over as the pain attempts to kill

My demons are building, like an overflowing landfill

Transphobia,

Why do people hate people

Who just want to be themselves?

Knocking us out of the safe place on our shelf

Making a boy like me scared to be who he is

You can't take away that pride, that's his

Biphobia,

People can like anyone their heart chooses

Yet all they get from the world is broken hearts and bruises

Kicked in bars, run over in streets

You get the crown, while we get blood-soaked sheets

WE WILL NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE!

You have no control over who I am inside

I get that decision, not you

And no matter how much you scream at me to hide

That's something I will never do...ever again
