Honest Poem

I am born on March 17, making me a Pices

But I don’t like pet fish

I’m 5 foot 2, making me the tallest girl in my family

I’m also one of the lightest since I weigh about 105 pounds

I can’t stand people burping, and I’m obssessed with food and Netflix.

Based on my horoscope I’m compassionate and emotional

Which is somewhat true

I’m not very compassionatte

And I’m too honest

Which means that I love to demean people

Sometimes I feel extremely happy,

But other times I feel like I’ve fallen from the peak of Mount Everest

I am like an ocean’s wave

You can have fun surfing on my high tides

And I give you gifts like shells

But when you do something wrong

I’ll pull you deep down into my dark side

I don’t like drama and have never experienced it

This is because I judge people with every opportunity I get

And if I want you to be my friend,

I’ll pull you towards me like a magnet

I have done this since I was in elementary school

And this is one of the reasons I’m not as close as I used to be with most of my elementary school friends

I like to draw and color

It’s like an escape

I go from reality to my own world

Where everything is filled with my thoughts

And my feelings can translate into something better

I’m smart and sly

So sly that I have become a pro at spying and decieving

I enjoy comparing myself to others whom I think aren’t as good as me

So that I feel less insecure

Sometimes, I feel like my intelligence puts me down

This is because I enjoy bragging to others about my grades

and at the end, I feel guilty talking about it

I only like eating my moms food

This is because only her cooking can take me back to the small memories I’ve had with my siblings long before we knew how short life was going to last

The smell of her food takes me on an adventerous trip to my parents home country

And eating her food brings all of my family together

Hi, my name is Aimen

I enjoy eating mantu and any type of palaw

I laugh at the smallest, and sometimes the dumbest things

But in the inside, there is more to me than just rainbows and unicorns

There are multiple layers that show you who I really am

I am like a puzzle,

I come with many peices,

And sometimes, some of my peices disappear or reappear

And sometimes, I am complete.
