An Honest World
There are many people living lies in the world. They lack honesty, they are living lives dedicated to being accepted by their social circles, not to being the creative individuals that they have the potential to be. I feel that everyone has different abilities ingrained deep within them, abilities that must be cultivated by the individual. Once these abilities are developed, they have the potential to bring the possessor of those talents great satisfaction, and enlighten the societies in which he/she was once a mere cog in the social wheel, grinding on without an individual purpose.
Hypocrisy is contemptible, yet so many are unaware of their own self-contradictions. We all strive to do what we see as just, if we did not have any self justification, we would never accomplish anything. However, when people become so self-righteous that they see their own perspective as the only true, enlightened way to see the world, then there is great hypocrisy involved, no matter the intentions. Holding someone else to your own personal standards is the epitome of self-righteous blindness; when you have no respect for another's own abilities to come to their own conclusions, and decide their own fate.
If there were one thing I could teach everyone in the world, it would be for all people live their own lives. Help others in need, but do not judge or condemn them. Everyone is at least entitled to live their own life. If they choose to ruin it, offer that person assistance in every way you are capable, but allow them to decide if they need to reform themselves or not. Give honest opinions when asked, but do not force your morals on another. I know it is impossible for we humans to become perfect, but can we not get along?
