Honey

Honey

Sweet on the tongue
Stick on the lips
Gathering flies
Stifling…noises
With their blanket of

Protection

Black as the night
Cold as the grave
Unoriginal and Unappealing

Moving, shrinking
Growing
Cover the eyes
Cover the face
Adapting to restrain the

Movement

Rising from the petal dust
Beneath familiar roaches
And stagnant breath

Unspoken
