Honey Love
I want so much for myself
Is that selfish of me?
I want this brightly lit apartment
Filled with blankets and crystals hanging in my windows
I want mugs and record players
I want beautiful robes and roses in vases
I want art all over my walls
And warm water always boiling to brew my chai tea
I want candles forever burning
And beautiful local handmade soaps
I want pretty perfumes with flowers floating inside
And sweet honey in my cabinets
And I want this love
This growing, consistent love
I want to run my fingers through his beard
I want to curl up with him in the morning
Listening to Santo and Johnny
Focus on my caramel fingers
Laying on his milk colored chest
I want to make him laugh
Kiss him whenever I want
I want to go to shows
And walk home with him, feeling safe in his embrace
I want this beautiful life
That's simple and gentle
I've created this never-ending idea of paradise for myself
Is that wrong?
Something wrong with this poem?
